| Site Built Spiral System |
| The Helix Spiral Freezer has a unique ‘Guided Flow’ air circulation pattern ensures all products are
frozen evenly. It offers food producers many distinct advantages with its proven and respected cooling and
freezing characteristics. Cold air is circulated across all product surfaces and a high heat removal rate
is achieved without subjecting delicate items to excessive air speeds. |

| Operation |
| Unimpeded 'end or side' loading – either manually or automatically – onto the in feed
conveyor that transports all products into the spiral freezing zone, which is built around a rotating
drum. At the discharge of the Helix Spiral Freezer our conveyor belt straightens and transports all products out and onto
the production line for packing and storage. |

| Custom Built |
| We will design, construct and install a Helix Spiral Freezers & Freezing System exactly to your requirements. We will
not be hindered by confined factory spaces, belt width, direction or configuration. |

|
| Structure |
| Standardised components – made of galvanised or stainless steel – ensure easy and rapid
site assembly of our freezers. Our own experienced engineers always supervise on-site assembly programmes. The design and
construction of the Helix Spiral Freezer enables customers to vary the number of conveyor belt tiers, and tier pitch, thus
providing greater flexibility for the food processor. |

| Tangential Infeed Conveyor |
This conveyor forms the in feed arrangement for loading delicate products, such as fish and
Hamburgers. The products are placed directly on to the contracted belt, thus avoiding product distortion
and ensuring maximum belt coverage. Product is transported on a stainless steel or polyurethane belt into
the freezer at the point where the freezer belt is already contracted around the central drum. The
tangential drive and freezer drive are electronically linked to ensure the two belt speeds are compatible
at all speed selections. The complete conveyor is removable for easy sanitation.

|
| Infeed and Drive |
| Upward and Downward spiral systems are available enabling the Helix Spiral Freezer to be sited in an
existing processing line with infeed and outfeed points meeting the customers needs. A built-in variable
speed drive ensures the user can adjust freeze zone retention times from one product to another. The Helix
Spiral Freezer is a fully automated system, easily controlled by one person from a user-friendly control panel. Fault
detectors and stop switches are strategically located around the conveyor system; operating control panel
warning lights and an alarm give an immediate identification of a fault, together with its location. Main
and secondary drives, both shaft mounted are directly linked to ensure perfect synchronisation; low
tension is maintained throughout the spiral, thereby avoiding excessive wear or belt damage. |

| Features - Helix |
- Capable of 500 kg/hr to 6,000 kg/hr depending on the type of products being processed, or freezing
time required.
- The Helix Spiral will freeze or chill a variety of products requiring medium to long retention
times, including pizzas, chicken portions, fish, meat patties, meat products and fast food items in a
tray.
- An efficient, yet gentle and economical vertical airflow system, which can accommodate delicate or
light weight food products. The ‘Guided Flow’ air pattern will also keep weight loss to a minimum
level.
- We have designed the system for easy maintenance, cleaning and access. Generous space is provided between the spiral drum cover, and
enclosure wall panels for easy access. There is an intermediate platform with hatchway and access
ladder built into the Helix enclosure for upper level inspection and servicing.
